Hey all,

I'm a pc gamer who uses a 360 controller for all pc games (YES even FPS), but I do want to learn to use kb/m to some degree. With that said, I figured I should get mechanical since that whats the pc gods deem mandatory. I would like to know if the Corsair k95 would be worth getting?

I think being able to have the wasd or esdf lit as a separate color would help in not getting the movement keys mixed up while playing. The reason I'm asking about the K95 vs the K70 is that FFXIV is my main game of choice and i'd like to keep the macro buttons for my fast class switching (currently using G510s).

Also I'm using the G600 mmo mouse. Should I keep it or replace it with the Corsair M65 RBG mouse? Any constructive info is appreciated. Thanks

You are already using a very good keyboard and I don't think you will wear the keys out anytime soon; it is the same board I switched to when the keys of my G15 became unreadable and the lighting was getting dimmer then I needed.
My problem is seeing the keys/letters.
I am also looking at the K95 RGB. And trying to decide which keys I want (probably brown). The selling point for me, like yourself, are the Macro Keys and, for me, if they can be programmed for internet shortcuts as they can on the G510.
But before I shell out the money, I am going to wait - and you might want to wait also - until I can put my hands on one and see how it feels and how the letters are going to look.
I have used a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate and really liked the feel of the keys and the lighting and the size of the lettering; if the Corsair is even close I will have to have one.
Mouse: That G600 MMO is exceptionally good and I am guessing it fits your hand well; my G500 is great that way. I had an M65 (regular) and it was really good functionally. The sniper button especially. But it was to short and/or tall for my hand and led to cramping.
This has been a pretty rambling reply, I hope it helps.
Please repost when/if you get the K95, we would be interested to hear how well it works.

It actually helped alot. I'm talking to my friend on steam which I trust and he said to go with browns as well. As far as getting my hands on one, I would really have no way to other than go to a tiger direct here in miami and hope they have one out to test out. I haven't used a mech kb since elementary school so I really dont know what i'd be looking/feeling for.

As far as the mouse, I like my G600 but I'm really interested in the M65 due to being able to light different keys. I figure this will help me out while i learn to game on kb/m.

Edit: Seems you can't light individual buttons on the K65 mouse, so will probably pass on that and get the get the non rgb mouse as its alot cheaper on amazon right now.

You have Tiger Direct you can go to, that's good. Where I am we only have a Best Buy store and they don't have much and I doubt they'll get that keyboard anytime in the near future, but I can hope.
