Hey I just started my first computer build and I just finished hooking everything up. I checked the power supply and the graphics card yet I still cannot get any signal on my pc. My keyboard also seems to not function, I havent installed the BIOS yet. and I was just about to, Can I get some help.
Here is my build:
AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core
Cooler Master
Motherboard MSI A88X-G41 PC MATE
Storage Hitachi Travelstar 1TB 2.5
MSI GeForce GTX 750
Acer monitor
Cooler Master CM
Storm Gaming Bundle w/Optical Mouse
I have been at this since 10:30am and it is about 3:42pm so any help would be appreciated

Do the fans turn on?

Also try these:

1) Is your 4-pin or 8-pin CPU power cable plugged from the PSU into the motherboard? You need this to supply the CPU with power
2) Is your PSU switch in the back flipped to I for "on"?
3) Is your Power Switch cable plugged into the exactly correct spot? Otherwise the case power button will not trigger the computer to turn on
4) Is your CPU fan plugged in?

Im a little new to this thread. Uhm
The 8 pin connecter is powered to the harddrive. the fans do turn on. both the cpu cooler and the graphics card

My power supply cable is connected, It is set to I for on and it completly turns on. The cpu fan cooler is also plugged in.
The computer turns on and functions, the only problem I have is that the monitor does not get any signal and the keyboard does not power on

Are you using the video ports that are on the GPU rather than the ones on the motherboard to connect to the monitor?

I first used the ones on the motherboard then switched over to using the gpu; after I got no signal on the motherboard.

OK!!!!!!!!! I SOLVED IT!! Firstly Let me apologize for taking up your time. It turns out that the 8 pin connecter I originally thought that came from the harddrive went to the motherboard was the power. but it turns out the PSU has its own 8pin connecter I completly forgot about, I switched the harddrive connector to the PSU and the PSU to the motherboard And the monitor as well as keyboard work! thanks again for helping me
