Anything I should make sure I get when building an HTPC? Haven't really seen anything that mentions something important to look for when building one of these vs buying a regular PC. Maybe it will be easier to post the items I'm looking at so here that goes:

CPU: i3-4350 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
VGA: (using the onboard intel HD 4600 from the i3-4350)
MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

The mobo is my most flexible component, as I'm not quite sure what to be looking for when building an HTPC. The case I'll be getting is able to fit an ATX mobo.

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thanks in advance!

With your hardware selection you should be completley fine. Im assuming you have your own hard drive?

The issues with smaller HTPC cases are fitment (and selecton) of MoBo, PSU, and GPU. You are fine with your selection.

FYI if you are wanting something shorter, the Silverstone ML03B and 04B are pretty nice. I use the 03 model for my LR XBMC build. You would then need a mATX borad instead though.

Yes, I have RAM and HDD's already picked out but I figured they weren't as important. Just wasn't sure if there were any motherboard specs I should be looking for when making an htpc

If you dont have any specific usage needs from the board then no, nothing special.
Just need the motherboard to support the CPU and fit the case you chose.
