Hey guys so I am thinking about creating my first build within a month or so and I was wondering if I could get some input on the choices I have made. My rig will be used almost only for gaming and I want to run at 2560x1440 resolution on a single monitor.

CPU = Intel Core i7-4790k 4.0Ghz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler = Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK 78.1 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard = Asus Maximus VII Formula ATX LGA 1150
Memory = G.Skill Sniper Series 16GB(2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
HDD = Hitachi Deskstar 7K200 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card = Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB
Case = Cooler Master Stryker ATX Full Tower Case
Power Supply = EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 P2 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully- Modular ATX Power Supply

I hope to eventually add an SSD and to SLI the GeForce GTX 980 4GB. Besides wondering whether or not this is a good build, I am also curious if the power supply would be able to handle all of this or if I should get a higher wattage and if the Storm Stryker is a large enough case to not have everything too tightly packed and keep constant air flow that keeps the rig at a very low temperature, or if I should invest in a larger case like the corsair obsidian 900d. As far as future proofing, I don't intend on doing much more with my rig then what has been stated until it becomes truly obsolete. I know that was a lot so thank you guys very much for any input you can give me!

Everything looks good for your build, just be careful with motherboard standoffs, might be two preinstalled that are longer than the rest.

Get a EVGA G2 850W , that's more than enough for SLI and overclock and get a Western Digital Hard Drive.

Yeah I have heard about the two screws, thanks though knightdog56! And yeah after this post I changed my HDD to WD Black 1TB 7,200RPM, my Heatsink to a Noctuna NH-D14 and DRAM to CORSAIR Vengeance for low profile ram. Thank you very much though! So you guys don't think I will run into any overheating problems with the more compact case?
