Bad Video Card, Bad PSU, or Heat?

Hi All,

Currently having a weird issue where my video cuts out during graphics intensive moments (Far Cry 3, Witcher 2,). When playing non intensive games (stick of truth, walking dead) everything plays normally. Right now my best guess is that the problem lies with either the video card going bad, too much heat (its a sff build) or my psu is under powered.

Any ideas on how to isolate? I don't have the ability to swap out parts at the moment.

Current Build:
Silverstone Sugo SG10 Case
Intel i5 4670k (not currently overclocked)
Asus Gryphon z87 matx motherboard
Asus 760 GTX
Silverstone Strider 500W PSU
2 ssds and 2 hdds

Thanks in advance for your help!

The screen cuts completely to black for about 2 to 3 seconds, then the video comes back. Sometimes it will happen immediately again, other times it will take a few minutes.

I'm using windows 8.1. This has been going on for a couple months, and I've just been dealing with it, however with the new games coming out the next few months i don't want to keep dealing with it anymore. I've tried changing drivers but that hasn't fixed the issues.

I would try a different monitor , and/or a different cable

I can try that. Its currently hooked up to a TV through a receiver and it works 95% of the time, the only time it has any issues in graphics intensive games. Everything else hooked up to the tv (cable, ps3) works 100% of the time.

No its connected via hdmi to the receiver then hdmi to the tv itself. Ill try swapping the cable anyway to see if it helps.
