Hello all, i have these two drives, SSD is primary and everything i download, install etc gets put on there whereas the 1tb is just sitting there empty. I would like to make it so it all goes to the hdd instead of sdd unless i do/tell it to put it there. How is this possible to do and will i be able to keep the os on ssd and still have the hdd as my primary?

Solution
ok how you can do it for most of windows default folders. (for example "my pictures", "my downloads" "my doucments" ext..)

1. go to your user folder (its named your name) for exmp. "BOB""ROBS COMPUTER" "JENNYS COMPUTER" its going to be whatever your computer login name is

2. in that folder you should see what I said before all your folders named my documents, my pictures, my downloads.....and so on

3. go to the drive and create a new folder(do not copy the folder, create a new folder) what ever folders you see in the step above that you want on your other drive

4. go back the your user file and for example the "downloads" folder right click on it then select propertys

5. go to the "location" tab

6. change the file path to the...

6. change the file path to the new folder you created for example "A:\downloads" then click move

7. hit apply if needed then ok

8. verify it worked

9. pick this post as a solution and enjoy

this should work for any windows folder such as my documents, my music, favorites, downloads, my pictures, my videos, saved games, desktop (yes you can move where your computer stores any files that you see on your desktop) and so on. enjoy
