Hi, I'm a newbie computer builder. My first ever gaming pc is now finished and I have recently gotten obsessed with keeping my pc safe so I started checking my component temperatures.
When I played Skyrim, my GTX 650 went from 29-33 (idle) to 60-63 when gaming, the game was at a stable 55-62 fps. Will these temperatures end up damaging my GPU? I'd like to have the graphics card working for at least a year until I can buy a GTX 760.

PS. I'm replacing it because it's not one I personally bought, I got from a friend who was upgrading. It's not old, it's maybe one to one and a half years old. Just in case someone was going to ask.

PPS. Sorry for the long post, and thanks for answering! :)

It's a completely safe temp for the 650 or any card. :)

From my understanding, those temps are normal for a GTX 650 under moderate to heavy use. In fact, some tend to run even a tad higher than yours. I believe you will be fine.

As those before me said, that temp. is just fine. Max temp per Nvidia is 98C. You say you want a GTX 760; for the money, especially a year from now, the GTX 970 would be a better choice. Price might go down a bit in a year.

Hmm... That is true, I didn't think about that. Thanks! I'll see how my budget and the prices change in a year.
