I tried to install Linux Mint on a partition and it installed, but then it stopped and now I can't boot or mount my actual Windows drive? I have no idea what to do. When I try to boot Windows 8.1, I get "missing operating system". I can't go to Linux Mint either. Something about no space left on device and "The NTFS partition is in an unsafe state. Please resume and shutdown Windows fully (no hibernation or fast restarting), or mount the volume with the 'ro' option. Whenever I try and open the terminal by pressing TAB I get more text instead of other times when I get only a couple words. This is frustrating.

The unsafe state is that windows did not close completely which probably means it's in fastboot mode putting on a flag that Mint doesn't want to screw up. Do a windows repair boot to get it working and then shut it down completely, google shut down win8 completely or look for it in windows help.
