I live in college apts and type of internet i have is where i plug one end of the ethernet cord into the wall and the other into my computer or my router. When i plug into my computer it works, but the router doesn't and says "no internet access". Which is weird because it worked for a month and year ago when i was here.

My router is sort of like a modem/router from att but i have timewarner

When i try to login wirelessely it says no dsl connection... How can that be when i we don't have dsl connection? Also when i plug the ethernet from wall to my laptop it works perfectly

I have tried the following:
turning on and off the router/ computer
get ipv 4 to automatic
ipconfig thing
and resetting my router

Since your router is a combined modem/router it is expecting DSL as its WAN connection. Is there an RJ45 (8 pin) connection that says WAN on the unit?

Netgear doesn't provide ANY support for this product. Only ATT. I can't find a manual for it on the web. I believe you will have to buy a new wireless router. I would believe that this one will ONLY work with DSL. You have regular ethernet from the wall. Get an N300 dual band router and you will be good for WAN speed up to 50Mb.
