A friend's dad wants me to build him a desktop for general use stuff. He said he doesn't really do anything special, so no gaming or 3d rendering or anything. He said he had a budget of around $600-700 and I was thinking something like this http://pcpartpicker.com/user/sammyssb/saved/2Fhv6h

I was just kind of wondering if this was overkill, anything should be adjusted, or if it even needs a GPU. Any help is appreciated!

If it was me, I'd put more storage in it. Depending on how the budget works out, either add a 1 or 2 tb drive to that build, or replace the SSD with a hybrid SSHD. Also, if he's not gaming or anything, the integrated GPU would probably be sufficient. You could always add the dedicated GPU later if it's necessary.

I thought going with a single drive rather than two drives would be easier for someone who doesn't deal with computers much. Maybe an SSHD would be a good option.

Edit: Also I thought 240gb would be plenty for someone who is just storing some files, pictures, and music. No games or anything
