The title says it for the most part. I did an update on the intel chipset driver and realtek hd audio driver using the msi utility and the first update went fine but then my computer started acting funny... shut itself off mid update and now it keeps shutting off then back on.. sometimes it will turn on and load into windows then shut off.. sometimes itll go to boot on for a second or two then turn off... it's on a loop of doing this and i dont know why. i flashed the bios to previous version, cleared cmos and even went as far as wiping my drives. it worked for a day or two after i did all those but today it just started doing it again and i have no clue why. any help would be appreciated

sounds like the cpu or power issue. boot into the bios and go to the temp screen that shows the cpu and system temp. sit there for a bit see if the system over heats or shuts down. if the rig shuts down and the temps are stable. check the cpu fan on tight then pull the gpu out of the rig and see if the rig stays up with onboard video. removing the gpu will lower the power needed from the power supply. if the power supply is bad and is not holding taking a large load off will then keep the unit from shutting off.

My system ran fine on a decent overclock and my temps on everything have been fine. Then when i was updating those two things it just started doing this so i dont think the PSU or any heat is an issue but i have a spare rosewill 600w psu that i will test it with to see if that changes anything. and ill also try the pulling the gpu out and i'll update later.

After flashing the bios/clear cmos again... it seems to be working and hasnt done that thing in 3 days now. Lets hope it stays that way or ill just have to buy a nice ROG board....if only they came in black/blue :(  lol
