This is my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JTmh23

My case has a filter at the bottom for the PSU so I know I am supposed to install it with the fan facing DOWN. When I install it with the fan UP everything is fine. When I try to install it with the fan DOWN, The screw holes are slightly off track and are covered by the case.

I pushed the PSU to align the screw holes but it was as far as it would go.

Why is this happening? How can I fix it? If I CANT fix it will it be OK if I install it with the fan up?

By answering you are REALLY helping me a lot!!!

Its fine to install fan facing up but it is better to run facing down. It should line up ok, wiggle it around a bit to see if it will fit

The PSU should be fastened such that it pulls in outside air into the PSU and exhausts it towards the rear of the computer case. I suggest that you align the PSU screw holes as best as you can and then try and start the screws. Then gradually tighten. Even if you manage to tighten just two screws (instead of four) it will be fine.

Unless you are moving your pc around a lot two will be fine (preferably opposite each other). If you really cannot get it to fit fan down it will be ok fan up, its just not preferred.
