I wanted to know if a ASUS 750 TI would be compatible with a HP Pavilion p6644y Special Edition. The power supply is a corsair 450 watt. I've already asked about another card cx

Not always, HP specs may be compatible but when manufacturers build desktops they sometimes prevent things like graphics cards being upgraded, which can be due to many factors. It could work and may not, it just depends on the hardware used by HP. Being on this forum for quite some time allows me to see the outcomes of such upgrades, so it is not a one off. I would not upgrade the card, not for possible compatibility issues but for bottlenecking.

^That's a valid point. I was luckily able to upgrade mine in an old HP C2D pre-built, to HD 6570 (miserly I know). But that may not be the case everytime, as it was with me. And pure logic says the Pentium (if you have the stock CPU) would bottleneck the card badly if not anything else. C2Q (if you have upgraded CPU), would not be as bad. For the stock build though, if the noted issue raised unknownofprob doesn't hold true, I'd not get anything much higher than HD 7770.
