I have an Asus U56E (Win7Ult / 64-bit) and I'm been having problems with the wireless connection for a while. A yellow exclamation mark shows up on the wireless icon after using the wifi after 5-6 hours every time. I get a "Limited Access" on my home network then there is no wifi available (and comes out a red X on the network icon). There are other times that it won’t work at all when I turn my laptop on.
I've tried with Ethernet and it works. I know it's not the router because I have another laptop and other devices that connects with it and works perfectly. However, just for the heck, I tried resetting the router and it didn’t solve the issue. I've tried to see if it was an IP Address problem, but with my lack of tech knowledge I don't know if it is what causes the problem. (Side Note: I have LAN enabled while I have the WiMAX disabled, even with it enabled it still doesn't do any differences.)
I've tried looking at other forums to help me such as reinstalling the latest(and previous) drivers (I've reinstalled it at the Asus support website), I tried doing Windows Network Diagnostics and it gives me “Resetting the "Wireless Network Connection" adapter” and “Investigate router or broadband modem issues” (The default gateway is not available). Here is my ipconfig.

It looks like your wireless network adapter is going bad. The yellow exclamation point indicates the hardware is not working.....

So I should get a new wifi wireless card (not sure if that is the same as network adapter) to fix it?

That would be the easiest solution - the wifi adapter should be a separate card from your network adapter (usually found on the mobo).

Wireless network cards are inexpensive as compared to other hardware - here is one at Best Buy for $30.00: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-802-11n-pci-express-wi...

If you have a computer store like Fry's or MicroCenter - they would probably be even less.....
