I overclocked my G3258 to 4.2 GHZ. I have the CPU Core Voltage set to 1.357 Volts and the CPU Ring Voltage to 1.21 Volts. My temperatures are at 30-40 C at idle and 60 -70 at load? Would these be considered safe VOLTAGES AND TEMPERATURES? Would you recommend that I lower the voltages or are these safe enough?

Did you test it? eg Prime 95, OCCT, Intel Test?

Voltages seems quite high for 4.2GHz, most people reach 4.5GHz at 1.2-1.3, temps are not bad, but you should be able to lower the vcore.

I have tried to lower the Vcore to 1.3 volts, but whenever it my PC boots up, it crashes and I have to hit the clear CMOS button. It seems this is the lowest voltage I can get. Anything I might be doing wrong?

I used CPU Burn in test , Cinebench, and Novabench. Temps were at 60 -70 C when I ran them.

Seems like a case of bad luck, run a stress test to check stability.

I have run a stress test for a few hours and it is stable, no crashes and blue screens.

Then leave it at that. If temps seem too high, back off the OC so you can lower Vcore again.
