Hello everyone!

I bought my XFX R9 280 and I want to know if is worth to overclock it. My questions are:

1 - Will it void my warranty? (If it will void forget the other steps);
2 - Is it safe? And worth? Will it boost alot of my FPS?;
3 - Will it damage my card sooner?;
4 - Do you have some guides how to do it?
5 - Can I do it myself, or I need profissional help? Is it easy to do?.

Thank you

Solution
1 - Yes any OC voids the warranty. Now if something goes wrong with the card it will depend on what part fries, it could let them know it was OCed. don't play with voltages just clock speeds and you should be fine.

2- Its safe if you do the oc properly and dont go too far and definitely worth you will get a boost in fps about 10-15 depending on your clock speed.

3- if you dont go for voltage overclocking then it will not affect the lifespan.

4- you can watch guides in YouTube there are many software's for OC msi afterburner is i would recommend.

5- yes you can do it your self its very easy just dont touch the voltage.

Hope this helps.

I saw this in XFX website:

http://xfxforce.com/en-us/support/faq

Does overclocking void my warranty?
Overclocking our products does not void the warranty as long as there is no physical damage to the product or missing components. However XFX Support will not be able to assist you in overclocking the product.

Please remember, other product warranties maybe voided by overclocking other products in the computer, such as your processor.

It does void anyway?
