I bought 2x Corsair AF 120mm Quiet Edition fans for my old tower case as the previous one had stopped spinning after 11years.
Another 2x 140mm for my new case (Enthoo Pro) and All have the same problem.

The screws only screw into the fan mounts about 50-75% of the way in, after that, need to use alot of force to screw them in. Never having this issue before with any other fans I have used, i forced them in and noticed the screws were such a tight fit because the rubber mounts which are meant to aid in silencing vibration noise were actually twisting. So after forcing one of the screws in with more force, the rubber mount had twisted and broken..... I was then unable to then unscrew it at all to remove the fan, so forced the rest of them in (one screw out of the 4 went in fine with the slightest bit of effort). To remove that fan would require forcible tugging the screws out, fully ripping the rubber mounts and rendering them un-screw'able so i left it in there

Few weeks later, the 2x Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition arrived, unpacked and checked if the mounts had the same problem... yes they do, so have not yet attempted to fit them into the case.

A quick google search just now and i realize there are a few 1-2star reviews on amazon which state the same issue, of whom just replaced with different fans

Also just fitted 2x Corsair SP140 LED fans, which do not have the rubber mounts and fitted in perfectly as should normally.

Is this a popular issue or did i get faulty mounts on 4 of my 2 separate orders of fans? Solution to get replacements or new model/brands?
