recently I have built a pc with a msi z97 gd65 motherboard, a i7 4790k 4ghz -4.5ghz processor, a msi twin frozr Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 graphics card, a 1tb hardrive and a 750w power supply from corsair and yesterday I turned it on, it started up fine then I plugged a usb keyboard into the front usb port and the pc screen just shut down and the sound cut off, I have restarted the system and now the screen just says no signal ("it is DVI connected") what could the problem be? any help is appreciated.

Hi

Have you tried moving the USB keyboard to the rear backplate USB 2 (not usb 3) sockets ?

I have occasionally seen the front usb ports wrongly wired.
possibly a connector just behind the USB ports which can be connected in two ways and was the wrong way round.

Do you have the option of connecting 2 cables into the LCD screen?
( one from DVI on GeForce card and other from the Intel integrated graphics via backplate connector)
to see if system has changed the default graphics output port.

If not remove Geforce graphics and connect to Intel integrated graphics
