PC upgrade, Pc life expectancy?????

This is my current PC:

I have had it for 4-5 years now, I was thinking about upgrading my PC graphic's card. Do any of you guys know if the performance of the PC (life expectancy) decrease rapidly and die out. The card I was thinking to get is the gtx 750 ti:

well it only has a pci-e slot but the performance loss shouldnt be that high with the gtx 750ti. the gpu is good enough to play curent games on mid-high settings but you probably will have to go down to low settings by mid-end of next year. almost the same with your current cpu-mb constellation.

Why would I have to go to low settings by mid next year? And also would the PC die out, This is my main concern, I would like to upgrade without harming my computer, like overloading it.

Low settings because new games developed are evolving with the technic. Every few years new game engines appear which need more powerful ressources to run on. Your computer wont "die out", why should it? But its already a couple of years old and probably will not be able to manage upcoming games
