Hello,
I'm not very good at alot of the computer part names and spec's however i decided i wanted to upgrade my graphics card a bit to run some games more smooth.
I have a M4A87TD / USB 3 evo asus motherboard, with AMD Phenom ii x4 955 @ 3200 O.C at about 3450-3500. The graphic card i have as of right now in it is a nvidia geforce gt240 , i was looking at the Radeon HD 7750 GHz PCI-E 1GB GDDR5 Video Card or maybe Asus AMD Radeon HD 7770 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E Video Card (HD7770-2GD5) would these work ? or is there a different card that i could get for it ? I also have a 700 Watt supply, running windows 7 ultimate. i was hoping on going out today to go look at them because i finally have a weekend off.
Thanks! any information would be appreciated.

you can opt for an r7 260x or 750ti. anything higher would most likely be held back by your CPU.

moving from a gt240 to a 7750 will result in a dramatic increase in performance, probably 10x faster and will let you actually play a couple of games @ 720p with good visual fidelity settings.

Okay, i know my computer is getting old with the parts just wanted to be able to play some games smoother. so the 7750 will work with this setup ? and would you recommend that card for it by any chance ?

i would suggest to go a bit higher, a r7 250x (7770 equivalent) if possible if not then stick the 7750. again it will be galaxies apart from a gt240.

Asus AMD Radeon HD 7770 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E Video Card
Diamond AMD Radeon HD 7770GHz PCI-E 1GB GDDR5 Video Card

go for the cheaper one, 1GB will be enough assuming you're not playing above 1080p with tons of AA.
