In search of gaming controller for elder scrolls online for my windows 8 PC.

Solution
if you got a wired x360 controller, use that & download the driver off MS site.

if you got a wireless x360 controller, you will only need to buy the USB dongle & download the driver. its a few clicks away to ebay. don't bother yourself whether its an authentic MS dongle or a cheap chinese knock off. MS' dongle have a high failure rate either way.

if you got neither, the cheap option is to get an x360 controller & download the drivers. don't get the one labeled for PC. seriously, you're basically paying extra for drivers there. ignore it unless you don't have internet connection.

if you want it to be wireless, then there may be reason for you to get one that's labeled "for PC" for the wireless dongle, unless a console "version"...

if you're looking to really spend money, there's Razer's Sabertooth. basically its a 360 controller that allows you to connect both wired or wirelessly, with an apparently more higher quality build.

other than those you're looking at PS style controllers.
