Hello, I am thinking of getting the GTX 970, probably the Asus STRIX version from here:

I was wondering if that would be fully compatible with my motherboard, the Asus P8Z77-V (which obviously uses a Z77 Chipset).

Also, would I be able to run them in SLI mode in the future if I decide to get another one? (My Powersupply is 800 Watts from Corsair.

Thanks! :)

Yes it should work with the motherboard and now that the new gpus are much more efficient I think they should work fine but I would bump it up to more wattage of you are going to do overclocking

Thanks for the responses, that's made my day!

So would 800 Watts not be enough for even single GPU overclocking? Or are you talking about SLI overclocking?
I heard last night that some guy was running 2 GTX 970's off of only a 550 Watt Power Supply, with no problems. Obviously I won't use that as a basis of calculating power consumption, but surely 800 watts is enough to overclock at least one GPU?
