Hello, forum.

I really need help with this... I left my laptop on before going to sleep, and when I woke up, it behaved like I don't even have an adapter. It's not a problem with my router because internet works fine on my desktop PC and my phone. Yes, I looked through another thread on here about this, but every solution posted there didn't work for me.

I am running Windows 8.1 and my laptop is Toshipa Satellite C660-1MQ. The make of the adapter is Atheros AR9002WB-1NG.

I took a screenshot of everything I know of that is relevant to my issue, links below:

The first image shows a yellow exclamation point on your wireless device. Try re-installing the driver for it. If that does not work, it may be that it's over-heated and failed.

The issue is resolved. I uninstalled the device driver, restarted the laptop, and it was back on its own, working properly. I didn't want to do this before without confirmation.

Thank you for the help.
