PC freezes randomly, takes up to several minutes to "unfreeze" (HDD/SSD problem perhaps?)

Hello. I've got this problem where my computer randomly freezes. I have a feeling my HDD or SSD might be the problem. I cannot open any programs, or close ones that are open. Any navigation I try to do on the computer gets me nowhere. It is not the GPU messing up, my screen works fine, and I can move windows around on the screen. I can sometimes even keep browsing the webpage I'm on.

I noticed Google Chrome said something like "waiting for cache" or something along those lines when it froze, that's why I think the SSD or HDD might be the problem.

I would appreciate any help on this. I could send in one of my drives and get a new one if it's broken, but I don't want to do that unless I know that that is the problem. I'd be stuck for days, maybe weeks without my computer.

The freezes sort of happen in waves. When I get one, it keeps doing it every five minutes. The past week I have been getting very few freezes, but they came back last night. There doesn't seem to be a connection between the freezes and having my computer do heavy tasks.

Here are my specs, if it helps.
- Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
- AMD FX-8350
- ASUS GTX 680
- Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB HDD
- OCZ Agility 3 64GB SSD
- 16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Nice build. I have the 990FXA-UD3 too :)

I would suggest downloading Speccy (https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download), going to the 'Hard drives' tab, and then posting a screenshot. Make sure to include the 'SMART' dropdown.
