So after 5 days of installing a brand new Samsung 1tb 840evo in to my Samsung 550p7c-202 laptop the SSD seems to have failed as it isn't showing in the bios or the boot priority menu. The last time the SSD was working the laptop was in the process of updating several pieces of software using Samsung SW update, though i accidentally fell asleep during this process and when I came to the laptop had booted on to the 'insert valid boot media' screen. Unfortunately as I tried to take the ssd out to put it in another computer to test i rounded off one of the screws, which i've not had the time to be able to get a dremel on and remove. Do you believe the problem could be a firmware related issue to Intel RSD or the SSD? I'm in the process of downloading a win7 iso to install to a usb drive to boot from to check if this is an issue. Has anyone else had the same issue and found a solution? Kind regards, Nick
