Hey guys, in looking to upgrade my current CPU. I have a e5500 2.80 GHz and I wanted to know if I could fit a g3258 e.w GHz processor in that slot. I'm looking forward to play games like dying light and far cry 4 on 1280 by 1024 resolution. Lowest settings possible and playable fps. I've got a GT 630 2gb and 4gb ram. I also have 32 bit Windows 7, and was wondering if I need a 64 bit. Thanks!

No. You will need a LGA1150 motherboard for a g3258.

E5500 is an old LGA775 cpu.

Best solution? New gaming build.

Cheap solution: Ebay (Core 2 Quad Q9650 > Core 2 Extreme QX6850, QX6800 > Core 2 Quad Q9550, Q9450, Q9400).

Crapper. So should I buy a 1150 mother board and the CPU? How much would that cost, and on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard would that be to install?? Thanks again.
