I am a student on the go a lot and my laptop is vital to me. Currently I have a mid-2012 macbook pro 13 as standard as it comes. I am a big gamer however, and I find myself wishing I had a gaming laptop when I travel or when I am free for long periods on campus. (I do have a gaming desktop for home)

I found someone willing to trade their alienware m14x for my macbook both of which are in good condition.

My issue is this: My mac is fantastic for school but nothing else. Barring mac haters and windows haters anyone have any arguments as to why I should keep the mac or trade for the m14x.

Thanks

Without even mentioning the specs we can't be certain it's more powerful, but that's the most likely case. However, you'll have to choose between trading power vs weight. I personally think a macbook would be more worth in a classroom than an alienware unless you're willing to cover the whole case with tape.

You can always study when you're bored at the campus :p

It definitely is the case. I commute a good ways so I am sometimes on campus for as many as 12 hours so homework is typically finished. The weight vs. power is really tough to decide because I travel as well and sadly I can't pack up my desktop to take with me.

yeah, I guess it must be a tough decision :/  . The Alienware looks less professional and it's more powerfull. The Macbook has better battery life and it's lighter
