Upgrading from Pentium E2180 to E5200 problem

Hello,

I know these are very old CPUs, but in my other thread I wrote that my motherboard + CPU both fried, so I found an old PC with Intel Pentium E2180, and also found in a box an Intel Pentium E5200. Now since both have the same socket - LGA775, I should just be able to switch them right?
So why when I put the E5200, the PC does turn on, but only spinning fans, and sometimes clicking sounds, but nothing else, not even the BIOS screen. And when I put back the E2180, it works OK.

What could be the problem? I mean, the E5200 demands less power, so it's not the PSU, right?

Thanks

Thanks,
I was sure that all you have to check was the socket number, I didn't know that some motherboards don't support other CPUs even though they have the same socket? Is it true?! Because I did check compatibility like you said, and it really does not support E5200 and does support the E2180, despite having the same socket. ( I was using the website CPU-Upgrade to check compatibility)

It's a Foxconn 945G7AD
(I think it's 945G7AD-8EKRS2H to be more precise because I checked in CPU-Z and compared to all the 945G7AD on Foxconn's site and it's the only one that shows ICH7/R both in CPU-Z and in the Foxconn site)

Thanks, by the way, where exactly did you find it on the link you gave? Because I used a website called CPU-Upgrade, in the link you provided I don't see compatibility list. (Sorry I am a newbie in this)
