I am getting around to building a new computer, so I was wondering how much FPS I could get with a i5-4790k and a R7 250 4gb on games like Minecraft and League of Legends? (With 8gb RAM)

Do you mean i5 4690k or i7 4790k?
Either way, you should look into a more powerful GPU.

Yeah sorry, I meant 4690k, and what's wrong with the graphics card?

Both will easily be playable on the highest settings, I don't have the card so I can't tell you exactly how much fps, but it looks like this guy does:

Its an r7 which is a very entry level card, for gaming you should look at an R9-270 or 760 as a baseline.

My primary purpose isn't gaming, but I'll look more into it.

Your card would be ranked #103 on futuremark, I would suggest you go with the r7 250x though, only an extra 10$ and according to future mark's benchmark score it's x2 as powerful. Quite a good investment, would also put you at #55, which is not an entry level card.

I'm reading up on it more, and you should DEFINITELY go for the 250x, way better of a deal for only 10$!!
