Tomorrow I'm getting a new pc. I currently have windows 7 and since Microsoft is going to unveil Windows 9 tech preview on tuesday I could install the new OS on my new pc. Do you think it will be stable enough for daily use?

That's always hard to say until it is released and tried out.

I personally would wait for a few weeks after the preview is out and then choose as the last thing you want to do is buy something that doesn't work.

Won't it be free?

The rumor is that it will be free for anyone upgrading from an existing legal copy of Windows 8 or 8.1. If you're building a new PC or don't already have a legal copy of at least Windows 8, you still have to buy one as before.

But to answer the OP's question, I would say wait until 9 is officially released. Unless you are ok with using a beta version in production. And if you have to ask here whether it is a good idea to use a beta version of an OS in production, you're exactly the kind of user who should not be doing that.

Not knocking you at all... it's just that I see this all the time. If you do set it up, inevitably something is not going to work properly, whether it's as severe as a bluescreen of death, or as minor as no driver for that printer you haven't used up in 3 years. And when that happens, these people come back here and countless other forums on the internet and ask why it doesn't work and want the community to help them fix it. My response is always "It's beta software. Don't tell us (we sympathize, but ultimately we probably can't help you yet), tell the vendor. If the problem is with the OS itself, tell Microsoft. If it is with something made by Logitech, or Corsair, or Asus... etc. then tell those companies."

As long as you are ok with that, then go right ahead and install the tech preview build when it becomes available. If not, wait until the retail release.

For your primary PC, I wouldn't. I used Win 8 from the early preview days, and while it was stable...there were issues.
And specifically NOT on my daily use primary machine.

Will it support all your new devices, and vice versa? Doubtful.

At the very least, you will have to wipe and reinstall once it is actually released.

run it and take a look. It is free until the final release and you can wipe it at any time. Heck, if it breaks on your machine then there is a good chance they will fix the problem before it goes to retail.

This is completely unknown until Microsoft makes an official proclamation.
All we have so far is rumors.
