Hello everyone!
I am currently looking to purchase a new gaming computer for the coming years. I have researched many devices, but one caught my eye especially: The Razer Edge Pro (found here: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-edge-pro ) . While the tablet boasts good performance on newer titles, it can easily become upwards of $2000 with the seemingly necessary accessories. $2000+ for 640M LE and a 1.9 GHz i7 seems... excessive. However, I thought that if I could find the motherboard, I may be able to build a tablet of my own. I would like to have at least an i7 2.5 Ghz, and at least a 780M. I would like, however, either dual 780M or 880M's in SLI. Also, at least 16 GB of RAM, and a 256 GB SSD. If a laptop has a suitable chassis, I may just replace and adjust the screen to be a front-facing touchscreen. Since the Tablet PC would run Windows 8, I also would like to sync an XBOX 360 controller to it for gaming. If anyone knows of a motherboard, or laptop chassis capable of becoming a gaming tablet, please let me know!

Just as a side note, I would like to spend no more than $2500. I realistically will take the specs I can get for this price, but I would like to play The Witcher 3 on at least High settings at at least 40 FPS. An HDMI or Mini-HDMI port would be nice to have as well, and a USB 3.0. I do not need a disk drive, or any flash or multimedia readers. Thanks!

From what I know of, such a combination of tablet, laptop, and gaming device doesn't really exist; not even in the DIY sector. Building a tablet isn't exactly a simple task for the common man, even the resourceful one. The closest thing you could get is something like a Clevo barebone which you can purchase one here. Also the Razer blade has a touchscreen but it's a laptop of course.

I don't know why on this earth you'd want a gaming tablet anyway because touchscreen controls aren't exactly the best for gaming.

You'd be better off building a desktop in my opinion.

Thanks for the info! I most likely will take your advice and build a desktop, and perhaps get an Android Tablet (probably the NVIDIA Shield). Thanks again!
