Just a few questions regarding UHD TV from SONY.

I know basic difference among LED backlighted TN,VA,IPS or similar types of these panels
Since I know nothing about TVs, and their official website doesn't tell me what exact panel it uses, can someone tell me what panels these TVs use. Do they use the same type of panel monitors use?

The T.V. panels are a little different, though considerably the same. As you said, sitting in front of T.V.'s is not the best of options, which is true. The displays are of similar nature but there screens are powered. How bad it tends to be on your eyes is about brightness and the distance you sit from the t.v. I am not saying these T.V.'s are exact T.N. panels because their not, they both have different properties to each other, they are just as a whole similar, by in terms of pixel type.

these displays are the same type as monitors, though they are referred to as TN panels, which are still liquid crystal displays (LCD) and have led backlighting. Those T.V's are commonly referred to LED LCD, which is pretty much the same as a TN panel.

Thx for the info, I know they all are LCD LED.

Are you saying all of these TVs are actually TN panels? So color shifts is gonna be a huge problem? I have a 27'' TN monitor and the color shifts from different angle is really unacceptable. Cuz I don't think I can make straight view all the time in front of a huge size TV.

I know LG makes some ah-ips 4k TV tho.

Awesome to have someone like you to answer my post. Thank you again.
Would you consider to buy a IPS 4k TV over these similar-Sony TVs? Are there any VA or similar to VA, UHD TV around?

Okay I guess I will consider their warranty and other stuff as priority compare to just panel difference. I am not gonna buy it in the US tho. thank you for your info, I will still try to go to a retailer to see the TV in real.

Just an update if anyone in the future cares. Mostly likely if you sit far enough from a 65'' or bigger TV and you probably will, the color shifting is neglected without a problem. As for the IPS/PLS worth for it? I can't really tell that much of difference since those similar to TN panel are just much better than TN monitors.
