I don't think you'll be getting high settings on new games in two years time but it will be performing better than the AMD build.

This is because the cpu is much stronger per thread even though it has fewer threads most games will not use more than 4 threads anyway

TThe gtx 760 is more like an AMD r9 280 so outperforms the r9 270x in your original build

One change I would suggest would be to swap the h81 motherboard for a h97 motherboard like this one
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asrock-motherboard-fata...

as the h97 boards are more fully featured and up to date.

Worse because you have a much weaker processor with a very similar gpu. Like I said, the gtx 760 performs almost the same as the r9 280.

In some games the gtx 760 is slightly better and in some games the r9 280 will perform slightly better

What do you think the performance would be like in games such as BF4 Crysis 3 DayZ cs:go ect

OK, so on "High" BF4 should be around 50fps, this is a game where the r9 280 performs better achieving around 60fps

Crysis 3 has the GTX 760 and the r9 280 about neck and neck with around 60fps

I can't find much on DayZ as it's not a popular benchmark but I suspect the extra vRAM might give the r9 280 a slight edge in this game

CS:GO is not a very demanding game and will run great with either card

Based upon the games you play I'd probably make the following changes to come in at almost £500 exactly. The motherboard is better (it wasn't available at such a good price when I originally planned your build) and the r9 280 is generally better suited to the games you play.
