a few days ago i had my computer BSOD with a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR in the middle of what i was doing (about 20 minutes prior to this i had the GPU display driver crash and auto-recover on me), and after that i had trouble starting it up for a few hours. i eventually managed to start it by removing a bad stick of memory, and once i had it on i updated everything including the chipsets and GPU drivers. today the same problem is happening again. the computer wont boot, only turns on for a few seconds then restarts.

i took the case off when i booted it and i can see the debug light on the motherboard blinks a few times before it shuts off. i tried taking the graphics card out and the computer seems to boot fine if i do, but i dont know if that means my GPU is the issue or my PSU is failing.

my PSU is an 850W coolermaster that ive been using for about 5 years. the GPU is a gtx 660 TI ive had for about a year with no issues from either one of them until today.

if it helps, i can hear the GPU fan making a strange noise, almost like its stuggling to start, before the computer shuts off.

most people say to try replacing the parts one by one, but since im in college im away from all my parts back home -- *i do not have another GPU or PSU i can test*. i cant afford to replace both, either. im really in jam here :/

I think its the ram or the PSU so do one thing take out the GPU and run the pc without it see if you still get the problem if you are using 2 ram sticks then try using 1 stick alternatively .

if i remove the GPU but leave in the 2 sticks of RAM im using the pc powers on just fine. i can get to the desktop if i plug the mointor into the display port on the motherboard.

ive done that; the computer boots and goes to the desktop. the issue occurs whenever the GPU is plugged in

okk so either the GPU is faulty or the PSU is not providing enough voltage for the GPU.

But personally i think its the GPU so if you have the warranty use it.
