My dad has an Acer Windows 8 Laptop and it is suffering from a long boot time. The computer loads up to the login screen very quickly but when the password is entered the screen goes black ,with the cursor still visible, for around 2-3mins.This continues until the desktop loads up and then it functions perfectly. He had somehow ended up with a couple viruses that I cleaned off of his laptop which I thought would solve the problem, but it persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
