Give me an honest answer. A lot of people here are very bias towards Intel and I need someone to tell me if it is a noticeable upgrade for video editing and multitasking without saying that everything AMD has to offer is crap compared to Intel because that is simply not true.
I can upgrade to the i7 and motherboard while only loosing about $100, so keep that in mind.

I use 8320 for 3d rendering and I also tried 4790k for rendering and video editing.I think the i7 is faster by probably 25-35 % or maybe even more, I forgot the amount of time needed for the job to complete. My advice is if you have the money do it!

If it only costs you $100 go for it!! Otherwise i'd not recomend it. Make sure that you're getting a good z97 motherboard for that cpu.

I'd get a slightly better motherboard if I were you, but apart from that, it seems like a good deal. An i7 is much better than an 8350, especially if you overclock it (yes, the 8350 can be overclocked too, but clock for clock, the i7 4790k thrashes it, especially in video editing)

Then go for it! its not the best z97 mobo out there but does its job quite well.

AMD is good for budget build systems. Most gaming rigs I recommend AMD. But the i7 series has always been 10-15% faster at rendering, encoding, tessellation, and other multithreaded processes then AMD. Sometimes even more. They also use less power and run cooler. But the real issue here is cost. Spending 100 dollars more for that much less time computing, lower power bill, and a cooler/quieter system its definitely worth it.
