I want to get GTX 970 and Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB Kit ram or Corsair Vengeance 8GB ram. Will my motherboard handle those parts? I have "Asus P7P55 LX". What power supply will these parts require? I have an older 450 W power supply. And I have I7 CPU 870 (2.93 ghz). Will it be able to handle all the games and go "shoulder to shoulder" with GTX 970 ?

It'll be OK.
Just get a better PSU,like the XFX Core 550W,as 450W isn't enough for the 970.

What about overclocking? Will XFX Core 550W handle overclocked 970? I'm planning to get 970 with ACX 2.0 so it will be cooler it says fan power is lower.

Dont get the ACX2.0 GTX 970. Get G1 Gaming one by Gigabyte.

For OCing,Seasonic S12 II 620W.
Don't get the ACX 2.0,as stated above.
MSI GTX 970 Twin Frozr V is the best one.

for a budget PSU, EVGA 750B2 is the best. $50 after rebate at newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I can get these according to my budget or anything else up to 360$:

I've heard that EVGA is the best quality. Isn't it?

EVGA is good, but they found defects with the 970, though they have the best customer service imo.

The Gigabyte is the best option out of those you given.
The MSI will beat them all.

There is no other 980 there other than the stock one,so you can't say that it's the best in terms of FPS.

So MSI or G1? 1 frame seemes insignificant. Which one is best for overclocking and is more reliable?
