Dear users,
So I have been recording Team Fortress 2 gaming videos with FRAPS for a while now, smooth 60 fps. I have the Nvidia GTX 770 and AMD 8 core processor, so there should be nothing wrong. I bought a new hard drive (a newer one) to store all my game content. When I got the hard drive, things started to slow down. Smooth 60 frames for about 2 minutes, then it dipped down to 30-40. I've tried every single FRAPS setting, and nothing has worked. I've even cranked down my TF2 graphics, and it did not work. I don't think the hard drive would effect my FPS, but I felt like that is it. Just as a test, I switched FRAPS to record onto my 1st, or main hard drive, (ssd), and it STILL dropped, even though it was the hard drive I was originally recording on. This problem has been upon me for a while, and I've read multiple forums and researched tons of things. BTW, I've also tried setting how many cores go towards FRAPS, and it did not work. I know you guys are smart, and I want to hear your guys opinion on this. Thanks!
