I mean they look too plain should I just ignore it I mean what if one of them is plastic what if it gets scratched or doesn't feel good to work with? they look too simple and not smooth/comfortable to work with should i be more worried about specs (i already am, but what I mean is does looks should really matter?)

And which one of these laptops are better back on topic

The Acer has slightly better specs and a higher price to match, the Asus is a good solid laptop - either would work fine, think I'd go the Asus for slightly better quality and save the extra money, neither is a big powerhouse

The Acer is an i5 and actually the Asus also has the better CPU, an i7 missed it, sorry,so now even more to the Asus), but both are a gen or so old (3xxx) series vs the more current 4xxx series of CPUs

I support Tradesman1's suggestion of Asus over Acer.

Dude, those 2 processors I've checked for more detailed specs they all come with 2 cores, I'm not familiar with Intel products do all laptops come with 2 cores only? I can't seem to find more than 2 core or octo core for example?

No, there are numerous 4 core CPUs in laptops, that's more to what I think of as a powerhouse like a 4700MQ or the like (newer/4 core, hyper threading)

Any decent priced 4cored laptops around 2+ GHZ? 6-8GB of ram? 300 GB or even less will do I don't need lots of memory I have like 3 TB storage all over, decent battery smart, strong, comfortable to use not stiff nice design so it feels comfortable on your hands. strong and not easily scratched decent graphics card idc if it doesn't play latest games, I have a gaming machine, as long as it's not integrated graphics 500pound?

You like to make things difficult don't you :)  I prefer the Lenova brand and generally look to Lenova and Asus for laptops, but here, the HP has the better CPU and Graphics, so I'd toss the pick to the HP
