As the title says, I'm clicks away from buying all the components listed and I'm looking for any improvements / general suggestions.

Solution
Everything looks great,1000W is overkill, get an EVGA G2 850W,it will be enough for SLI.
And you don't need the Thermal Compound,it's a waste of money on any budget.

Thanks for your reply, I quickly calculated my maximum wattage with absolutely everything on full load and it'd be about 650W maximum, that's not good for peak efficiency - but then again, i won't be maxing everything - only mild overclocking and casual gaming / photoshop - thus I'm going to heed your suggestion and get the EVGA G2 850W instead of the 1000W PSU.

You're probably right, as I'm moving from an old HDD I won't notice the difference anyway.

The EVGA G2 850W has 2x 8-pin (6+2) and 2x 6-pin connectors. It says on the link that I require 4x 6-pin connectors. I've never connected up a PSU before so yeah, that's why this problem may be 'apparent' to me.

EDIT: Although, coming to think of it. I could probably use the x2 6-pins in the (6+2) i.e. the 8-pin
