Ok,so i have just finished building my pc with the following specs

Intel i7 4790k
Msi gaming 7 motherboard
Asus gtx 780
Seagate Barracuda 2tb.

So,I will be multi booting the following operating systems:

windows 8
Windows7
Osx Mavericks(Niresh Distro)
Ubuntu
Backtrack 5

As of now,I havent installed any os on it.So, I know that there are filesystem incompatibilities between windows7,8&osx.So,can anyone please tell me in which way can I format my hdd so as to install all these os'es on it without encountering any errors.

Solution
Windows 8 - NTFS

Windows7 - NTFS

Osx Mavericks(Niresh Distro) - no answer: this is pirated software

Ubuntu - ext4

Backtrack 5 - no answer: if you have to ask you probably shouldn't be using Backtrack - it's outdated anyway
I haven't done this is a long time so there are probably better tools available now. Many years back I set up two versions of windows and two different Linux distros on one machine.

The first step (back then) was to determine disk allocation, i.e. what size partition I wanted for each OS and its data. Then I installed a boot manager that was installed on the first track of the HDD, if I remember correctly, and then went through and installed each OS.

Of course, if you are going to have separate partitions for OS's and data it gets more complicated. I was keeping the data with the OS and wasn't concerned about sharing data across OS's so I didn't have to deal with that.

The bottom line is, it takes some up front planning and you'll have to find a boot manager that recognizes all of the OS's file systems and partition table layouts.

Search "multi os boot manager"
