Ive spent hours searching for a wireless adapter with no success. Ive bought 2, a TP link WDN3200 and a Belkin F9L1106, both of which were rubbish so i took them, back. They seem to have good write up's but in reality there crap. As i said on previous post , i have TPlink WN723n which does give me somewhat a good signal, and its the size of a thumbnail. But as ive found size means nothing and also price. I paid 40 quid today thinking more = better signal, but once again i was wrong.
Please help im sick of looking, am i barking up the wrong tree ?? Should i get a pci card with Aerial??? Thanks

Go to a PCI wireless adapter if you want better performance.

There's also the possibility of your router not being up to snuff.

I use this wifi card and is the best I've owned to date - D-Link DWA-552 Extreme-N

It's a PCI-E Wifi card. Also listed above your wifi router may not be the best.

i bought a TP Link WN722N adapter with built in 4db antenna. It doesnt have the realtek 8188su chip i like so much or the rtl 8192su which is also reliable.
It uses Atheros AR9271 which i am very pleased with.
The signal is only on 2 bars and it says very low but im getting instant load up on pages, also downloading im getting close to 1Mps which is a massive improvement.
Also from the Asus link above i came accross a Alfa high power usb adapter http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L2P3TRS?psc=1
This looks like the Cats Pajamas!! It also uses the Atheros AR9271 chipset. This has gotta be the adapter of choice!
And it has the option of differant antennas up to 9db, and even a directional panel mount of 7db :)
