Hello,

Currently I am using new hard drive where I have installed everything. Whenever I try to connect my SSD drive, computer crashes (blue screen with prompt message shows). Now I know that this is because I have different motherboard and other drivers installed on it. My question is how can I delete all of the files from this SSD drive, is it possible since I can't even connect it without computer to crash? I am looking forward to hear any suggestion or advice.

Thanks,

Solution
For the computer to be crashing it must be set to boot from the SSD... you have to change the BIOS first boot device settings to the HDD. You may already have that setting enabled but not the correct HDD order... most BIOS have a way to put a preferred HDD on top or as #1.. so make that the HDD and it should boot without issues.

A second opton would be to connect both HDD and SDD in the correct SATA ports... or inverted from the position that causes the crash.

Third option: At the BIOS post press the indicated F key to access the Boot Menu where you can select to boot from HDD, the selection will extend to HDD or SSD... choose the HDD
