Hello im having a problem. i just bought a new mobo for my laptop since the previous one died.
I installed it and when it turns on it gives me "no operating system found". I go to the bios to install a new operating system but every time that i change the boot order or any other setting on the BIOS it wont save, it just returns to its default setting. is the bios bad? what can i do so i can change the settings?

New motherboard may need a new battery (CR2032).

Did you use the original HDD from your old motherboard? Is the HDD in the BIOS the first drive to boot?

yes i did use the HDD from the old motherboard. the motherboard does detect the hard drive and its the first option on the boot settings

You have two bad things from your new motherboard, it will not detect the HDD, this is the reason it said "no operating system found", and won't save anything you change in the BIOS. When you purchase the motherboard, it was a used one.

I don't know the model you have, if you can get it new, depends of the seller, and if you bought it on Ebay or Amazon, likely it's not a new motherboard.
