I have an old toshiba satellite l305-s5919 for my kids to play games on and I would like to instal a clean fresh instal of Windows Vista. I have a windows disc that I borrowed from a friend, since I can't locate the recovery discs. I have the boot sequence set to CD Rom first, and it seems to boot the disc and says loading windows files, but then nothing past the blue screen for windows, and an arrow cursor. Do I need to format the hard-drive a certain way or partition it to make it do a clean instal? Pardon my lack of knowledge.... but I most certainly appreciate any advice!!
