Have a Corsair CX750M, but a friend gave me the Zotac GTX 660 ti which has two 2x3 PCI plugins on it but the two cables with it lead into a single 2x6 end.. Power supply only has one 2x4 PCI plugin, is it possible to maybe run a single 2x3 from the Zotac that ends with a 2x4 into the PSU, or do I absolutely have to get the ax750 that has the jack?

You will need to get a splitter. The "2x4 PCI plugin" you are talking about is called an 8-pin PCI-E power connection, and the other one is a 6-pin PCI-E power connection. The 8-pin supplies 150w of power, while the 6-pin ones supply 75w of power. So a splitter should make this work.

The cable that came with the 660 ti is an adapter that you only use when your PSU doesn't have the correct PCIe power cables. You CX750 does have the correct cables to plug directly into the 660 ti, and those are what you should use. Take two of the 6+2 pin PCIe cables from the PSU (you should have 4 of them), and plug just the 6 pin parts into the 660 ti (into the two 2x3 slots).

To clear up some confusion, you have a MODULAR power supply, meaning you can take out wires you do not need etc. Your "2x6" is ment to be plugged into your power supply. Your Zotac 660 Ti uses two 6 pin power connections, and from I can understand your power supply does not have those two 6pins.

Just hook them up to your molex connectors and plug them in and your good to go.

Yeah, not too tech savvy at all. This is the first time ever opening a computer up so I'm sorry for not knowing much of anything.
She gave me the zotac right out of her comp, so I just got the cable I was handed with it. So you're saying don't use it at all?
