Hey all,
Just today, I am having a problem with my blue ethernet cord. It was working fine earlier, but now it just stopped. It was plugged into the computer and router before and after this problem; it wasn't moved. Though today I had to feed two new white ethernet cords down (we have to do it the old fashioned kinda way). One of the two isn't being used; in fact, it's a bit too short for what we needed. The second one is hooked up to our Xbox and works fine. After we did all this, we found out the blue cord (the one that was already down there) stopped working. Tried restarting the computer, router, changing ports on the router, and tried to use it on the Xbox to no avail. When you plug the blue cord into a port, the LEDs don't light up. I looked to make sure it wasn't damaged during the time when we fed the two new ones down. It was not damaged. Is it broken? Do I need to replace it? Feeding new ethernet cords down is a bit of a pain and I'm hoping to avoid that with a quick fix of sorts.
Please help!

look very carefully at either end, you can use a pair of pliers to squeeze the connector to make sure the wires are truly tight in the connector. You should see the wires all the way in to the stop inside the shell. You can get replacement connectors, possibly from Radio Shack. While having a crimping tool is handy, you can get away with pliers if you are handy. If the connectors are not damaged, then it is likely there is a problem with that piece of wire. It could have been damaged in any number of ways.
