Is my hard drive failing?

Hey guys, I've been getting alot of blue screens. My blue screens are usually caused by ntoskrnl.exe. Computer start-up time is also slowed down drastically. I tried to reinstall windows but it usually gives me a BSOD during the reinstall or saying that the Windows installation disk cannot be read with a error code 0x00000c5. I have ran memtest for 13 passes and got no errors. I hope you guys can help me out.

However, I'd still test the drive on another computer just to be absolutely sure. If you get the same behavior, then it's definitely faulty!
And then it's RMA time for sure! :(
Here's a link how to get a replacement if your drive is still under warranty:

I ran Western Digital's Lifeguard Diagnostic Tool on a full scan. At the end of the scan I got a blank blue screen with small horizontal lines of white and black. I asked my friend for advice and he said I might have a failing hard drive. I just want to make sure that it's a failing hard drive so I don't waste money replacing a perfectly fine hard drive.

Btw here's the picture of what my computer looks like after running the scan.

Hey there, Knight_!

I am sorry to hear about your issue with the WD drive. :(
I'd suggest to change SATA ports and see if the HDD gets recognized by your PC.
The only other easy way to see if the drive is the failing component is to connect it to another computer.
If it's still unresponsive, that's enough of a sign to get a new HDD.

You can also contact our tech support for more thorough step-by-step on the troubleshooting:

If you need any further assistance, let me know!
I hope this helped!

I don't see it is the hard drive.
Something failed.
The hard drive test should give you a report.
I only see inconclusive.

If it were me that HD would put it in another computer, and test it.
Then you have to test every other part except the motherboard, in another computer.
Or try known good parts in your computer, one at a time.

This is how computer shops do it.
Guessing it almost always wrong.

I don't think there's any other hardware problems. I have checked my blue screen errors and they usually say CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION or some NTFS problem

My hard drive is responsive but it keeps giving me blue screens of death or just blue screens like the pic above. My start up times have been decreased drastically. I have test my RAM enough times to conclude that it's out of the question, now the only thing I'm suspecting right now is a faulty hard drive.
