Also, As you can see in my signature, I desperately need an upgrade.. Can Yall help me with a new MB that has 2 way sli support and a PSU that can handle 2 97-'s and an oc'd 4670k?

Here is a good $1000 build:
PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($234.98 @ OutletPC)

Made it with USD since that is my currency and you did not specify. It has an i5-4690k with a 780(no bottleneck here, don't worry) It should perform well and just the way you want it too. You can do multiple monitor setups and play pretty much any game maxed out. No problem there.

As for the upgrades, all you need is a better GPU. You can get the SLI 970s or SLI 780s(about $40 cheaper, each). A good PSU for SLI would be:
https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-120g210...
1000W of power, a 10 year warranty, and fully modular. You really can't go wrong with a 10 year warranty.
And a good motherboard:
https://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z97a
Good board with at least 2-way SLI support. It is LGA 1150 so it will work with your old CPU.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Hope I helped you out :)

EDIT 1: Just reread your signature and noticed a Corsair 200R. The GPU will fit in there, but it will be a little cramped. Just felt like you might want to know.

You did everything perfect except for one thing... I asked for a 1k build that INCLUDED Two 970's and a CPU that wouldnt bottleneck them. My OTHER request was the upgrades TO 2 970's. Lol but thanks anywayz

EDIT: Yea, as long as it fits, im happy. A new case would be the biggest hassle known to man to re-put everything else in..

Oh... I don't think you can make a build for 1K USD with SLI 970s and no bottleneck. Sorry, but you would have to take the budget a little past $1200(probably more)
to get a decent well rounded SLI rig.

Your current system just needs the upgrades above.

If you wanted to overclock you could also look into an aftermarket cooler. The 212 EVO is a good budget model which goes for around $35.

Though if I were you I'd just go with one 970 or 980 first and then add a second one if you really need the performance boost.

You do realize that you cannot fit two gtx 970 into a $1000 build without going way too cheap in other areas right? Also, your current build in your signature is fine. Just swap out the gtx 760 for a gtx 970 and you're good for another 3 years.

Always good to have a second opinion ;)

Also a 1kW PSU is overkill for 980 or 970 sli.

Minimum is 850W, that number is from nVidia. And Overkill does not mean bad. And a 10 year warranty included.

850W is with room to spare for low quality PSUs which do not output the wattage stated. He would honestly be fine with a good quality 650W PSU for 980 sli.

Are you kidding? SLI 980s running on 650W? At 650W he would not have any headroom for anything. I doubt they could even run at that wattage. Really, I would just go with the 1000W. I don't see why you have a problem with it. It has a 10 year warranty and he would never need to upgrade the PSU, even if he upgraded every part in the system.

Ha, no I'm not kidding. Just look at any power consumption benchmark. He'd have ~150W headroom leftover under load.

So you are telling me that his SLI 970s could run on a 500W PSU? That is completely impossible and even if it was, overkill is [almost] never a bad thing. I would go with the 1000W PSU and there is no reason to argue against that.

You should check your facts because you're completely wrong.

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...
TDP: 165 watts
http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...
TDP: 145 watts

http://www.anandtech.com/show/8568/the-geforce-gtx-970-...
Whole system Wattage is 300 watts.

Keep in mind that TDP is the thermal design of what it can use. That doesn't mean the GPU will actually use that much power.A 1000 watt PSU is completely unnecessary. A 650 watt PSU would be the minimum wattage I would personally get for a 980 or 970. I'd be more comfortable with a 700 watt but it's completely possible with room to spare with a 650 watt.

Guess thats true but I don't see the point of going for less wattage when the one with more wattage and headroom also has a super long warranty so there is never a need to change it out. I would still go for the 900W-1000W PSU.

I'd rather pocket $70 and have a perfectly fine PSU. There are units with the same warranty for their 750W and 850W G2 units.

If you still don't believe me, I'll post an excerpt from an article....

From the power test, you can see the the new Maxwell based GTX 980 is definitely more power efficient than any other graphics card currently out on the market. The GTX 980 consumed 13 less watts at idle and 97 watts less at load compared to the GTX 780 Ti. We also had the system bench running a 5960X at 4.6 GHz. - See more at: http://www.digitalstormonline.com/unlocked/3-way-sli-nv...

Well, I can't really argue with facts. Sorry if I came off as rude, just pretty uneducated when it comes to PSUs.

Umm because it's completely unnecessary to pay $140 for a power supply that you'll never completely utilize. It's like the argument for buying 32GB of RAM. What percentage of applications actually require more than 16GB of RAM? Very few. So why would a person need 32GB? They don't. They're just pissing money away. It's not always about personal preference. It's about what right and best for the OP. Also, the warranty doesn't really hold any value either. The efficiency of the PSU will long drop before that warranty ends not even considering most people buy brand new PSUs with new builds which when you're gaming, that's about every 4-5 years.

I'm sorry, I just noticed that my PSU in the build I recommended is a 750W and i have been argue for nothing. I answered to a question with around the same question as OP's but the system was a lot more powerful and expensive($2800 in AUD). My original argument was for lower wattage. Just got confused between the 2 posts. Sorry for making such a big argument over nothing, my mistake :)
