Alright my setup is.
Motherboard: H81M-E33
Cpu: Intel Core i7 4790k
Graphics card ( for now ): Amd Radeon R5 230 1gb.

I have no idea if my setup matters at all when it comes to finding the right graphics card, for a reasonable price of course. I was thiking of getting the GeForce GTX 750 Ti card is it a good choice?

Budgit?

The 750ti is the best card for about the $150 range, and it only needs a 300watt power supply.

It depends on what you want to spend.

The more expensive the card the greater the chance you will need a new power supply also.

So, that motherboard only has PCI-E 2.0 x16... 3.0 is something like 90% faster... It would definitely be worth it to consider upgrading your motherboard. However, based on these benchmarks (http://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Impact-of-PCI...) it shouldn't really impact your performance much in gaming.

So, if the 750TI is all you can fit in your budget, then yes it is a very good card for the price. However, if you can afford a 4790K CPU, then I would think a higher end video card would be within reach. But like I said, the 750TI is very good for the price, especially in terms of efficiency.

A GTX 760 is a lot better, but for about $100 more, the GTX 970 is about twice as fast and requires a 500w or greater PSU.

get r7 270x/270 instead if you are planning to get 750ti but make sure your PSU is 500w and up

You have a powerful CPU. You can consider any graphics card ranging to high end. It would depend upon your budget.

Most I would spend on graphics card right now I'd say $250 but if I can save about $100 by getting the GTX 750 Ti I'd rather do that, unless there's something that can blow it out of the water at my price range. Anymore suggestions.

A $250 GTX 760 is considerably better.
In between those 2 are the R9 270, and R9 270X

You can get a 270 for $170 and a 270X for about $200

The R9-280X is about as fast as a GTX 770, but if you wait a few weeks, the GTX 960 will perform equally for around $250-$300.

Also My monitor is the acer v226hql (if that answers your question of my resolution.) Also something that I am going to be upgrading maybe the MONEX 27" M27QSM. For anyone wondering my psu is 500w it's the atx-tl500w-bk.

500w PSU? Ugh! You shouldn't get the R9-280X then, unless you want to upgrade the PSU also. It's better to wait for the GTX 960 to be released, then get that one.

Why do you need to get another board.
It is a brand new Haswell board.

You would have to get a much more expensive card to exceed the speed of PCI-e 2.0, even if the card is PCI-e 3.0

Right lol didn't realize I'm kind of new at this but I don't i'll be upgrading my psu anytime soon so i'll probably just wait till the GTX 960 comes out if I like it enough or just stick to something like the R9 270 or the 270x or just stick to my original idea and get the gtx 750 Ti. Again Thank you all.

Yeah, it is astonishing how little power those new 900 series use.

Definitely so. A GTX 970 has nearly the same TDP as a GTX 660 and is twice as fast.
